Recognizing the resilience of Asian businesses during the global pandemic

As the owner of Microsoft Teams, the world’s largest online collaboration platform, Microsoft wanted to acknowledge the businesses which were bravely battling against the physical separation brought about by COVID-19.

A remarkable feat

With the physical world coming to a grinding halt, many businesses had to switch to remote work within a short period of time – a remarkable feat of resilience that many seem to take for granted.

Microsoft wanted to recognize this achievement and inspire many others, to show Asia that COVID-19 cannot dampen the spirit of a team. For maximum impact, five of the worst-hit Asian countries (in July) – Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan and Singapore, collaborated to produce this campaign.

"We’ve seen two years’ worth of digital transformation in two months."

— Satya Nadella | Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft

Nothing can stop a team

Working with our global counterparts, the Singapore team created the Real People campaign across four markets in Asia. Shot remotely using only Microsoft Teams, with no directors, no actors and no film crew, we created a series of films showcasing real businesses - including our very own agency - connecting over real Teams meetings and sharing real work done since working physically apart.

From facilitating remote business meetings, enabling a financial startup to launch their business, to helping a hospital keep the communication lines open with their frontline medics, we proved that a team’s spirit is resilient and can persevere through any challenges – and in Microsoft Teams, we have just the tool for organizations to pivot, adapt and thrive.

Truly fulfilling our campaign promise that “Nothing Can Stop a Team”.
