In a 2016 poll, one in three Singaporeans have experienced credit card fraud.* This leads to an apprehension to digital payments and credit card usage.   To tackle this issue, we introduced Mastercard ID (identity check), a revolutionary software for your smartphone that uses your own, unique facial biometrics or fingerprints to authenticate purchases. To promote the technology at a leading developers conference, we were tasked to engaged early tech adopters.   Problem is, most geeks aren’t interested in cyber security. We needed something that would appeal to their nerdy side and connect them directly with all the technical details they desire.

We created an eye catching poster campaign that appealed to their pop culture passions. Challenging them to figure out every icon. But we went even further.   In an on-ground demonstration, we created specific mobile software that would scan the faces of participants, collect their emails and behind the scenes, a team of designers simultaneously created personalised graphic versions of their faces. We sent the artwork with a detailed EDM that gave the developers all the technical information they desired so when the event was over, they could review the software and apply it to their own platforms.

The response was overwhelming. Over the course of the event we directly engaged thousands of event participants and created over 400 individual customised illustrations and EDMs, giving each participant all the tech-related information they needed. Directly making tech influencers the face of a digital payment security campaign; Priceless.
