In 2020 as the world went into lockdown, stress levels rose higher than ever before. Cigna, a global healthcare brand that specialises in stress management, set out to remind the world that they are not alone even in these isolating times.
As leaders in preventative care, Cigna launched the “Keep Checking In” initiative. The campaign used celebrity partnerships and world-leading experts to encourage the world to keep checking in on the mental health of loved ones and colleagues. The initiative made use of purpose films, webinars, live-streams and celebrity influencers.
“We kicked off the campaign with an emotive film composed completely of real-life photos of the loved ones Cigna employees check in with in their own lives. With empathy and encouragement, it tells the story of the stress we’re all facing and the power of reaching out to others in these stressful times.”
To bring the act of checking in on stress to life, Cigna brought in a few of their top health specialists to explain the most effective ways to check in on those around you at home and in the workplace.
As momentum of the message took hold, it was time to breakdown the types of stress that need the attention of a check in. Cigna created a web series covering top pandemic stressors hitting people worldwide according to the Cigna 360 Global Impact Study. Each episode paired an industry leader in the chosen topic and a Cigna health expert to dive into how to check in on yourself and others in specific areas of stress.
